Started as EMUM Transport & Trading Sdn Bhd. Initially focused on transport services, providing cargo trailers and cement tankers. Acquired our first cement distributorship from Pemasaran Simen Negara Sdn Bhd. Acting as the only marketing arm for the factory, we started to venture into the retail and construction markets.

Within about a decade, we had gained profitable networks through good customer relationships and banker support, and were recognised as the largest cement distrubutor in the country.

Obtained numerous distributorships in the building materials industry, and expanded our revenues in all product lines. Participated in the supply chain of construction resources to mega projects in Malaysia.

Established our presence in the Central Region – Wilayah Persekutuan, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.

A period of growth. We carved a steady path by strategically focusing our efforts in boosting effectiveness, efficiency, management systems and networks

Business diversification came as we reached maturity. We started to supply coal to support local demand, thus moving into the energy industry. A milestone shared with the completion of Bangunan EMUM 55.

Expanded our footprint into the Eastern Region – Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu.

More steady expansion led us to have a presence in the Southern Region – Melaka and Johor.

EMUM Transport & Trading Sdn Bhd officially became EMUM Capital Sdn Bhd. We strive, as ever, to meet our customers’ needs and enhancing quality and productivity in all areas of our business.

Broke into new territory of renewable energy, dealing in biomass briquettes under a new venture, Biohusk Energy. 40 years old, and still keeping in line with our vision of sustainability.
